Depending on the time of year, we teach and play thematically and with purpose. Activities are created mindfully, to help toddlers develop and explore skills appropriate for their age range. We believe in learning and growing through play and offer a variety of different play experiences each session that children can enjoy. In addition, we reinforce difficult concepts like turn taking, limit setting, and separation (“mama always comes back”) each session through stories, play, reflection of feeling, and careful attention to your child’s needs. Each of our lead teachers have our Masters in Marriage, Family and Child Therapy or Social Work and while this is not a “therapeutic group” the activities and reflections we use with your children are psychologically sound and grounded in research on child development.
